It represents a vibrant, diverse crosssection of new and traditional photographic practices, showcasing work by emerging and established practitioners alike. Head On considers two-dimensional photomedia in all its variety from digital to darkroom, and the documentary to the staged. This year's winners include Matthew Duchesne for his work Ahmad, Stephen Dupont for Axe Mi Biggie and Thuy Vy for Ancestors I. Special commendation went to Neil Wallace for Megan. The 2007 selection committee was made up of Sandy Edwards, photographer, curator and former director of Stills Gallery, Gene Sherman, director of Sherman Galleries and Moshe Rosenzveig, Head On founder and curator.
