stripTEASE - Max Pam

11 June - 18 July

Tue - Sun: 11.00am - 6.00pm
Galleries One, Two and Foyer

Curated by Robert Cook

An Australian Centre for Photography exhibition in association with the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

Max Pam enters into a flirtatious game of revelation and containment with all of those his camera caresses. For him, the moment of photography is one of exchange, in which both photographer and subject improvise just what to show of themselves and what to keep private. As such, the erotic suffuses all of his work from shots of Tibetan nomads to London's homeless to Thai sex workers and Parisian housewives. stripTEASE pervs on these ideas as they play themselves out over more than three decades of Pam's practice giving us a unique take on the compelling output of a desiring body and a desiring mind at home and abroad.
