What exists is only a small part of what is
possible
François Jacob (Biologist and Nobel
Prize winner)
The Australian Centre for Photography is proud
to present a contemporary Museum of Wonders. The
exhibition has been specially organised by Dr.
Peter Hill, a former lighthouse keeper from Glasgow
who is now a world authority on the 'superfiction'.
This dazzling display includes photographs of
mythical creatures, spectral snapshots of the
deceased and documentation of the spiritual leader
of the lost Pacific continent of Mu. From the field
of science there are technological demonstrations
of telepathy and medical imaging which makes
visible the phantom limbs experienced by recent
amputees. With the world's best collection of
posters for films that were never made and much,
much more it is a museum of dreams and fantasies.
And all you need to gain admission is your
imagination.
