This exhibition explores the expressive qualities of that quintessentially photographic quality of the lens-made image: blur. Be it the streaking of motion, the reductive massing of drop-focus, the shallow depth of field of macro-photography or the romantic haze of diffusion, these artists harness the innate qualities of the camera to create powerful and evocative compositions. Occupying a hinterland of form and colour without detail or texture, the images hover in the mind and seduce the imagination. Here less most certainly is more.
