Photo Technica Award - New Australian Photo-Artist

Galleries One and Two

It's young, it's diverse and it's all-Australian. An exhibition of the finalists for the title New Australian Photo-Artist of the Year. With work by emerging artists from across Australia this is Sydney's coolest Christmas show. Check out the future stars of photo-media and find out who won the third Photo Technica Award and valuable cash prize.

The winner of the Photo Technica Award was Jaki Middleton. Jaki Middleton won the Photo Technica Award for her series of images, taken with a pinhole camera on a moving train.

Jane Allen received the runner-up prize for her three works of digitally created cityscapes.

The Nikon Award for ACP student of the Year 2000

Foyer

Over 500 students pass through ACP Creative Learning every year, learning everything from basic camera craft to specialist subjects such as fashion, portraiture and landscape photography.

We are proud once again to present the Nikon Award for ACP Student of the Year. An exhibition of the finalists' work for 2000 can be seen in the ACP foyer.

Matt Lee won first prize of a Nikon F100 camera (valued at $2,995).

Steffen Töppich and Françoise Skeates each won a voucher for Nikon products to the value of $750.

The awards were presented by John Swainston, Managing Director of Maxwell Optical Industries.
